C60
Colnago has been a long standing member of the Tour, this year the C60 will be in action. The Colnago road bikes have always maintained a classic and sophisticated look and the C60 is no exception. There haven’t been a whole lot of changes with this latest edition, but new tube shapes and bottom bracket have been introduced to make for a stiffer ride. The downtube is bigger than the C59 and the seat tube is rounder, created a more rigid frame. The whole bike is reinforced at key points, the head tube, bottom bracket and seat junction, adding to the rigidity of the frame.
K-zero
The K-zero was a huge leap forward for Colnago in its TT performance. They now have a fully integrated frame that has worked hard to reduce drag as well as maintain optimal power transfer. The front brakes are fully integrated into the fork and the rear brake completely hidden underneath the chainstays. Much like some other high end TT bikes, the tube profiles of the K-Zero use the NACA design to minimize drag. The drop shape of the NACA profile, with its cropped tail works just as well in cross winds as when frontal air resistance is present, making it the perfect choice for a bike designed to cheat the wind.
