Orica-GreenEDGE riders Mathew Hayman and Michael Albasini dropped into the BikeExchange pop-up store at the Tour Down Under Village for a chat following a successful Stage 1 of the Santos Tour Down Under.
Matt and Michael took us through the final 2 mile of Stage 1 of the Tour Down Under, providing incredible insights to the final stages of a sprint race, and what it is like delivering young gun Caleb Ewan to a stage victory. Matt speaks about his minor hiccup 8 miles from the finish: puncturing and having to borrow a wheel from teammate Michael Hepburn. He also describes Caleb's impressive speed and natural sprinting talent.
